Super Bowl Bash! Saturday, February 6th
Come join us Saturday before the Super Bowl for a fun evening of chili and music!
We’ll start the evening in true Super Bowl style – chowing down! From 4-6p we will hold a chili cook-off in the warehouse. Enter your chili to win and/or come out and taste what cobblestoners have to offer.
After the chili cook-off, invite your friends and family to an evening of music! We are fortunate to have two singer/songwriters who want to help us with the missions we support here at cobblestone, and entertain us with their unique styles. They have both been featured in Nashville, so we’re in for an evening of quality entertainment and storytelling. Tickets will be available starting Sunday, January 10th @ $10 a person. All money raised will go towards our mission/service adventures – locally, nationally and internationally.
Saturday, February 6th: Super Bowl Bash
4-6p: Chili Cook Off (For cobblestoners, in warehouse)
7-9p: Music for Missions (For cobblestoners, family/friends, in sanctuary)

BAREFOOT BEAR MINISTRY
This week we welcome our IHN guests, so it’s a good time to remind you about this ministry…
The Barefoot Bear Ministry is a ministry of cobblestone that gives a new teddy bear to each child who stays with us during the week of IHN. The children love picking out their special bear and enjoy the comfort it provides. The bears are a nice way for the children to have something new of their own during this transition time in their life, it provides a sense of stability knowing the bear will go with them wherever they go, and it’s a great way for us to show them we care and love them.
We need more bears! We have provided homes for almost 75 bears…which means that many children have stayed with us at cobblestone and now have a home of their own.
So, as you’re out and about, school shopping, some even Christmas shopping already, keep an eye out for a teddy bear that touches your heart, one you know a child will care for, love and drag around. It’s best if they’re “bare”… if they have buttons, clothing or some kind of decoration on them, the children may become competitive about having them or a smaller child could put something in their mouth so it could be dangerous. Keep in mind we have all ages come through IHN, so keep the tweens and teens in mind, too. We’ve had many teenagers ask if they can have a bear as well.
A few months back during IHN, we brought the bears out in their little red wagon. One of the mothers became very quiet and then cried sharing she had to leave everything behind in a storage unit and the kids lost all their toys. She was so thankful to have something for them.
The red wagon will sit in the hallway during the month of August! Let’s fill it with bears.

Cobblestone Wins the Most Participation Award in the Interfaith Hospitality Network Run/Walk for Home 5K for the THIRD YEAR IN A ROW!
With over 100 participants, Cobblestone hung on to our coveted trophy for the third time. We had walkers, runners, volunteers, and a wheel chair participant. From our youngest of 5 months to the oldest at 97 years young, all enjoyed a beautiful morning raising money for the homeless community. We also had several that placed 1st in their age bracket and our own Jesse Hartman finished 16th overall out of 275.
Cobblestone Celebrates 15 Years, May 10, 2015
Nearly 150 people gathered on Sunday, May 10 to celebrate Cobblestone’s 15 year birthday. We started out the day by being honored to have some of the Lebanon High School World Champion Drum Core performing. They marched in with drums a playing and put on quite the show for us. Various pictures of those that got their start in life while attending cobblestone were shown on the overhead. We also honored those that have passed on from our cobblestone family. After Brother Brian’s message all enjoyed fellowship and cake while reminiscing over our 15 years.
HOSPITALITY MINISTRY
Sunday mornings are a great time to gather and fellowship with other cobblestoners over a cup of coffee. On Sunday mornings the breakfast tables will be open between 9:20am-9:55am. We will have light breakfast foods, coffee, and tea on Sunday mornings (except on communion Sundays) for those that want to gather and visit. Please note the tables will be put away at 9:55am so that you have plenty of time to gather for worship. We welcome breakfast items from those that want to share, please be sure to have your food in the lobby area by 9:30am on Sunday mornings if you wish to bring something in.
The kitchen crew could use some help on Sunday mornings. They could use someone to commit to one Sunday a month to make the coffee and set up the breakfast tables and other folks to come in throughout the month to be helpers. Contact Missi Glass if you can help at missi.glass@gmail.com.
